The FMI In-line system of Brookhuis Micro-Electronics for longitudinal feeding makes it possible to measure wood The FMI type X can measure the moisture content at a speed of 200 boards a minute and measures 400 times a second. The FMI system type X consist of a control unit and one or more sensors. The control unit is microprocessor-controlled. Data (the wood species, the dimensions, the specific weight, the maximum and minimum admissible moisture contents of the wood and the action which should follow when the moisture content is outside the limits) can be programmed into product programs by the user. Microprocessor-controlled moisture meter suitable for measuring wood and construction materials . The FMW measures the moisture level when the back side of the instrument is held against the material to be measured for half a second. Because the specific density of the wood can be entered in the FMW all types of wood can be measured extremely accurately. The FMW can be set for wood ranging between 250 and 1100 kg/m³.
